Kate Hudson and Michael Kors Team Up to Fight Global Hunger

For the third year in a row, actor and humanitarian Kate Hudson has partnered with Michael Kors to raise awareness and help fight the battle against global hunger. October 16th marks World Hunger Day, and for the whole month of October, Kate Hudson and Michael Kors are collaborating through the brand’s Watch Hunger Stop campaign to raise funds for The World Food Program.

This past June, Hudson shared her irresistible warmth and energy while visiting schools and families in Cambodia. There, she was able to immerse herself in cooking school meals, from picking local ingredients to perfecting meal program details. “WFP’s school meals program helps children in the moment and for the long term,” says Michael Kors. “It’s a way to change lives, and we’re proud to support them.”

Special edition watches have been part of the campaign effort since the beginning, and this year, Watch Hunger Stop welcomes the Michael Kors Access Sofie touch-screen smartwatch, along with black and cobalt-blue Lon aviator sunglasses. For each product sold, 100 meals will be donated to WFP.

In addition to these new styles, Kors wanted to build on the success of last year with more ways to donate. During the month of October, customers can register to make donations in-store around the globe. Plus, the brand has created an interactive Watch Hunger Stop Snapchat geofilter for stores across Canada and the US. Simply using the fun filter will generously donate 50 meals to WFP.

Hudson and Kors are striving to include everyone to be a part of the community to stop world hunger. Scroll through the gallery above to take a peek inside the actor’s Cambodia travels.
