“February 10th” has been penciled in our calendars ever since we found out about the show. It’s no exaggeration that we’ve all been eagerly awaiting Raf Simons’ big reveal for Calvin Klein. With the logo change and the introduction of Calvin Klein By Appointment, expectations were set high for the Belgian designer.

The collection was presented at CK’s global headquarters, with Sterling Ruby’s artwork—created specifically for the show—intermingled in the runway space. Raf Simons—whose official title is Chief Creative Officer—and longtime collaborator, now CK’s Creative Director, Pieter Mulier, debuted 64 looks, featuring womenswear and menswear, which all paid tribute to all things Americana. Raf Simons noted that there wasn’t a particular era in America’s history he and Mulier focused on: “It’s the future, the past, Art Deco, the city, the American West…all of these things and none of things. Not one era, not one thing, not one look. It is the coming together of different characters and different individuals, just like America itself. It is the unique beauty and emotion of America.”
