Lick Your Plate (Appetite) by Julie Albert and Lisa Gnat

The sister duo behind the popular cookbooks Bite Me and Bite Me Too are back with another gastronomical tome. Not only does Lick Your Plate offer such a wide variety of recipes—from pesto chicken and caprese lettuce wraps, to this wheat berry, kale and apple salad—but the dishes are all shot on such brightly-hued backdrops, that the book itself is a pleasure to flip through.

Tasting Rome (Clarkson Potter) by Katie Parla and Kristina Gill

When I say “Italian food,” what comes to your mind? Pizza, pasta, and stuffed pomodoro? While these staples are scrumptious, Rome has a rich gastronomical history dating to the ancient epochs that has been largely lost in time. This new cookbook celebrates forgotten traditional Roman dishes, such as this cocktail.

This top-notch tome—featuring Mediterranean-meets-Middle Eastern cuisine—offers a host of salads, dips and made from pantry staples. I’m dying to try this eye-catching spiced beetroot yogurt—I’m sure it will taste as good as it looks pretty.
