With Toronto’s Evergreen Brickworks as the playground, BMO Financial Group in collaboration with Mantella Corporation threw the 16th annual Scrubs in the City fundraiser for The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) on Thursday, June 1st. This year’s edition, an ode to Marrakech, saw over 1,000 of the city’s high-society scene turn out in full force to help raise a successful $650,000 for the hospital.
Drawing a super-swanky and diverse crowd, guests, including committee members Suzanne Rogers and Sylvia Mantella, enjoyed Moroccan-inspired food and décor, an exclusive silent auction, plus live fire breathing, belly dancing, music, and more.
Proceeds from the philanthropic soirée went towards building new SickKids facilities such as cutting-edge operating suites, more room for families, and more room for the innovative technologies that will deliver better outcomes for kids. To-date, Scrubs in the City has raised close to $5 million in support of some of the most critical needs at the hospital.
