Just when we thought shopping couldn’t get any easier, Instagram reminds us that the sky (read: your bank account) is the limit. The app announced on its business blog that it would be rolling out in-app shopping options in the form of tags saying, “Starting next week, we’re testing a way for our community to learn more about the items they view within an Instagram post.” Brands such as Kate Spade NY and Warby Parker are the first to have experimented with the technology, having been included in Instagram’s initial testing. Just think: before you know it, runways will be shoppable… Oh, wait.
